William F.
Beacht, Jr.
Oct 12, 1940 — Apr 12, 2024
Seminole
William Francis Beacht, Jr., 83, passed away after a brief, sudden illness on April 12, 2024. Bill was born in Frederick, MD on October 12, 1940. As a teenager, his family moved to Florida and he attended Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, FL. He joined the Army and was a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division stationed at Fort Bragg, NC. He spent most of his working life in the printing industry. He owned and
operated 60 Second Printing, Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife for over 30 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bobbie Hardee Beacht; daughters, Sheila (Brian) Heeren and Sharon Beacht; grandsons, Grayson, Preston, and Lincoln Heeren; sisters, Gloria (Ronald) Koch and Laurie Layman; and his beloved dog, Isabelle, all from Seminole, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bill was an automotive and motorcycle enthusiast. He went on many motorcycle trips throughout the years; Key West, FL, Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota, and lots of rides on the Blue Ridge Parkway. His last ride was to Daytona Beach, FL for Bike Week in March 2024, as he had done annually for many years. While there, he enjoyed test driving new motorcycles and picked out a favorite. He was also a fan of the Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Rays, NASCAR, and Boxing. He and his wife, Bobbie, enjoyed traveling, including trips to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon,
San Francisco, Napa Valley, Los Angeles/Hollywood, and several cruises. They also took annual trips to Maryland/DC and North Carolina to visit family. Bill loved his family and friends, and always offered a helping hand - household projects, car repairs, rides to and from the airport, etc. He lived down the street from his grandsons and was very involved and interested in their lives. He will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him.
