Walter J. Halloran, Jr., age 74, of Largo, Florida, passed away on Sunday, April 4 ^th peacefully surrounded by his family.

Walter was born in New York, New York on October 19, 1946 to Walter J. Halloran, Sr. and Florence Halloran.

Walter was drafted to the Vietnam War in 1966. He served his Country honorably in the HHB 35 ^th Artillery based in Fort George G. Meade, Maryland. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him multiple courageous medals including the Vietnam Service Medal. After returning home from the Vietnam War Walter relocated with his family to Largo, FL. While living in Largo, Walter worked for the United States Postal Service for 19 years before he retired in 2009.

He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt to a friend in need. He was a great father who always took care of his children and did the best he could to teach and guide them. He was also a loving grandfather to many.

Beloved husband to the late Angela Halloran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. Halloran, Sr. and Florence Halloran.

Walter is survived by his loving children, Walter P. Halloran (Kimberly), Michelle Holschwander (Michael) and James Halloran (Latoya), his grandchildren Katelynn Craig, Walter J. Halloran, Jessica Halloran, Ryan Holschwander, Alonzo Perry, Cameron Halloran; Greatgrandchild and his sisters Betty Ann Flynn (Brian) and Cathy Stiehl, his brothers, Steven Halloran (Ellen) and Edward Halloran (Eileen).

All are welcome for visitation to take place at Mohn Funeral Home, 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, FL on Friday, April 9 ^th from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1507 Trotter Road, Largo, FL 33770, on Saturday April 10th, at 10 a.m.
