Vincent
Fregapane
Sep 12, 1934 — Sep 14, 2026
St. Petersburg
Vincent Fregapane, 92, passed into eternal life peacefully on September 14, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Sicily, Italy, on September 12, 1934, he was the cherished son of the late Aurelio and Rosa (Pennino) Fregapane. Vincent lived a full and vibrant life, defined by his deep love for his family, a proud history of service to his country, and a joyful, generous spirit. A dedicated veteran, Vincent honorably served during the Korean War in the United States Army, with assignments both stateside and in Germany. He later continued his military service in the United States Navy and went on to serve in the Merchant Marines.
Vince was a kind and generous soul who embraced life's adventures. He was an avid traveler who explored over 20 countries. Closer to home, he found immense joy in cooking authentic Italian food, watching musicals, playing cards, and keeping everyone around him laughing with his quick wit and endless jokes. Above all, he loved singing his favorite old songs surrounded by his family and friends.
Vincent is survived by his devoted siblings: Charles Fregapane and Joseph Fregapane (along with his wife, Mary), all of Florida; Sister Mary Veronica OP (Rosaria Fregapane) of Peekskill, New York; Josephine (Fregapane) Sibol; and Mary (Fregapane) Arcuri (along with her husband, Richard) of York, Pennsylvania. He also leaves behind a legacy of love shared with numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, a great-grand-nephew, and a great-grand-niece.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mrs. Antonina Falci and Mrs. Gesua Mingora, and his brother, Msgr. Mercurio Fregapane.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Vincent's honor to:
