Obituary

Shawn Matthew Perri, beloved father, partner, son, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida. He was 44 years old.
Born on January 8, 1981, in West Reading, Pennsylvania, Shawn lived a life full of love, curiosity, laughter, and devotion. Above all else, Shawn was a dedicated father who poured his heart into caring for his girls. He adored his daughter, Aizly Perri (6) and stepdaughter Ayla Stewart (11), and they were the light of his life. Whether he was sharing bedtime stories about the stars or playing music through the house, he made sure his love for them was always known and felt.
Shawn was known for his calm yet spirited demeanor, his sharp sense of humor, and his ability to make anyone smile. His jokes were constant, his laughter contagious, and his kindness unwavering. He had a way of making people feel comfortable, seen, and welcome—always lifting the energy of a room with ease.
An endlessly curious soul, Shawn believed knowledge was a form of wealth. He was a lifelong learner who found joy in exploring everything from science to music to the mysteries of the universe. His fascination with the stars was something he shared with his daughters, often pointing out constellations through the telescope he bought just for them.
Music was another one of Shawn's great loves. His all-time favorite band was Guns N' Roses, but his appreciation for music spanned decades and genres. His trivia skills—especially in music, movies, and pop culture—were legendary. No one could beat Shawn at a game of "Name That Tune" or movie quotes. He simply knew it all.
And then there was football season. Shawn was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan through and through. Each game brought a wave of excitement—and plenty of shouting at the TV. "Bleed Green!" he'd yell with all the passion of a true fan.
Shawn is survived by his loving partner, Amanda Varnadore; his cherished daughters, Aizly and Ayla; his devoted mother, Lois Bacon-Perri; his extended family: Mom, Anna Varnadore; Dad, Richard Fagan; nieces, Alina Varnadore and Alexandra Burns; and many dear friends who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph John Perri; and his brothers, Christopher Whitney Bacon and Nathaniel Varnadore.
Shawn was truly one of a kind—curious, kindhearted, funny, and full of life. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught, the laughter he sparked, and the love he gave so freely.
