Ruth Elizabeth Hook, age 98, passed away on April 18, 2023, one month before her 99 th birthday. She was born in Shippenville, Pennsylvania, and moved to Florida in 1953. She moved to Pinellas County in 1956.
Ruth was a former homemaker/funeral home owner who spent many years quilting. She was a Catholic and a founding member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She was also a past member of Ava Marie Guild, VFW, American Legion, and two local quilt clubs.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hook; her son, Martin Hook; her grandson, Jason Hook; her parents, Stephen and Amy Zacherl; her brother, David Zacherl; and three of her sisters, Dorothy Lewis, Grace Dean, and Alice Zacherl.

She is survived by her two sons, Charles Hook (Starla) and Michael Hook; her daughter Elizabeth Rickerman (John); her sister, Helen Godleski; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She will be laid to rest next to her loving husband, son, and grandson at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
