Ruth Ann Hannahs of Seminole, passed away January 17, 2026, after a brief illness, at home surrounded by her loving family.  Ruth was born in Covington, Kentucky on April 4th, 1948.  She moved to Florida in 1972.

Ruth was Catholic and belonged to St. Jerome's Church.  She was a Registered Nurse for over 45 years and retired from Bay Pines VA Hospital.  She loved her job and has helped so many people.  After retirement, she continued to work part time at the West Bay Surgery Center.

She married Richard Hannahs March 2nd, 1973.  They shared 53 wonderful loving years together.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, jigsaw puzzles and walks in the park.  Together they had several vacation homes but her favorite was their summer home in Michigan.  She loved walking to the beach and traveling the backroads with her husband looking for deer and wildlife.  She was affectionately called Neena and Grannie by many and everyone loved her "Grannie Cookies".

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Raymond Elsbernd and Dorothy Huebner and her daughter Jacqueline.

She is survived by her husband Dick, daughter Kimberly Doehleman and her husband Thomas, her son Scott Reed and his wife Shelana, her two precious and loving granddaughters Jaiden Reed and Delaney Doehleman.  She also leaves behind her brother Thomas Barker and his wife Kathy of Texas and her best friend Nancy Medema of Norton Shores, Michigan.

A funeral service will be at 11:00AM at Mohn Funeral Home 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, FL. on Thursday.
