Patricia Faye
Nuckols
Dec 21, 1956 — Mar 28, 2019
Largo
Patricia Faye Nuckols ("Trish") of Largo, 62, died unexpectedly on March 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is survived by her husband, Don; daughter, Emily Adsit (Daryll); step-mother, Brenda Rambo Nuckols; and her seven beautiful cats. At the time of her death, Trish was on the first leg of a travel adventure to the Western states with her good friend, Elizabeth Clark King.
Trish was born in Richmond, Va. and attended Virginia Commonwealth University. After working many years in the insurance industry, she became the owner and manager of the Seminole Pinch-a-Penny. Trish's employees were like family to her and she was ever grateful for the exceptional work of her assistant manager and friend, Tom Acheson. She was an active member of the Seminole Chamber of Commerce.
Trish dedicated much of her free time to her love of animals and people. She was a devoted wife to Don and a wonderful mother to Emily. She doted on her seven feline children: Blubelle, Rusty, Gracie, Jellico, Edison, Millicent and Jemima. She was also an exceptionally loyal friend to so many.
As an avid runner, Trish completed many races with her running pals including the recent Skyway Bridge 10K. Her last race, The Cupcake Run, took place on a beautiful morning on Pass-a-Grille Beach a mere six days before her untimely death. In addition to running, for many years, Trish awoke early every weekday to attend a 5:30 a.m. exercise class.
Travel was one of Trish's favorite past-times and she was always on the lookout for new destinations. She also loved to feel the wind in her hair as she drove around in her bright yellow, stick-shift, Corvette convertible. Another of her joys was dining out. She could always be counted on to know the best places to eat. Because both Trish and Don were always so engaging, they were on a first name basis with the owners and servers at restaurants all over Pinellas County.
Contributions in memory of Trish can be made to Pet Pal Animal Shelter, 405 22 nd Street S., St. Petersburg, Florida 33712 (petpalanimalshelter.com) or Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kenab, Utah 84741-5000 (bestfriends.org). Trish actively and enthusiastically supported both of these great organizations.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at the LW Mohn Funeral Home at Noon, on Thursday, April 18, 2019. A memorial service will start at 1:00 PM.
