Patricia L. Hartstein, 70, of Seminole, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Camden, New Jersey on September 30, 1947 and came to the Seminole area in 1974.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband William P. Hartstein, Sr. and her son William P. Hartstein, Jr.
Patricia was an educator for the Pinellas County School System. She was most proud of her time spent as team leader at PTEC Clearwater as Team Parent Specialist. She retired in 2015 from the school system as a Drop-out Prevention Specialist. Patricia was also an active member of the Seminole Community as an elected official on the City Council for 14 years (1995 - 2009). One year in the capascity as Vice-Mayor.
Patricia is survived by daughter Karen Shook, son Scott Hartstein, son-in-law Thomas Shook; grandchildren Ashley and Alyssa, sister Joan Sowers and brothers Thomas and William Stowers, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will gather at the L. W. Mohn Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31, from 11:00 AM until her service time at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens , Indian rocks Road, Largo.
In lieu of flowers, Patricia wished to have donations to the American Cancer Society.
