In Loving Memory of Nancy Lynn Lawrence

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Nancy Lynn Lawrence, who left us peacefully on June 17, 2025 at the age of 81, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Nancy was born on April 26, 1944, in Manhattan, New York. In 1985, she moved to Seminole, Florida, with her beloved husband, L. Robert Lawrence who preceded her in death.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Keith Lawrence and Craig Lawrence; daughter, Alison Grant (Emily); grandsons, Zachary Lawrence, Caden Lawrence, and Jude Amos-Lawrence; sisters, Phyllis Poppe, Kathy Joyce, and Suzie Benson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Thelma Combs, and her sister, Linda DeBrita.

Nancy worked in real estate and was a devoted Christian, deeply involved in her church as a longtime member of Oakhurst United Methodist Church. She loved music, playing the handbells, singing in the church choir, and also lending her voice to the Clearwater Chorus and Suncoast Singers.  Nancy and her late husband shared a passion for music and met through a choral group they sang in. Some of Nancy's fondest memories were singing alongside her sisters and father while her mother accompanied them on piano/organ.

Nancy was a proud member of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She enjoyed playing bridge and Scrabble, reading, and watching sports—always cheering for the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning. Above all, she cherished her role as a devoted mother and grandmother.

Nancy's warmth, kindness, strength, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Oakhurst United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's honor may be made to Oakhurst United Methodist Church.
