Michael E. Lombardo, PhD, age 92, passed away April 18, 2017. He was born May 3, 1924 and moved to Seminole, FL in July, 1990, from Highland Mills, NY. He was a biochemist and served in the Army during WWII. He was Catholic and belonged to Blessed Sacrament Church. He was a member of Wyoming Antelope Club, Pinellas county Republican Executive Committee, and the Civil Air Patrol United States Air Force Auxiliary.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ida; father, Erasmo; daughter, Cathy Ann; former wife, Ann; brothers, Carl and Mario. He is survived by wife, Barbara; son Michael; daughter-in-law Penny; grandchildren, Nicholas Matrafailo, Courtney, and Ryan Lombardo. Other survivors include brother, Edward Lombardo; sister-in-law, Assunta Lombardo; brother-in-law, Rodney Merkley (Claire); sister-in-law, Sandra Wright (Jimmy); brother-in-law, Terry Merkley; brother-in-law, Gregory Merkley, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
