Michael Wayne
Hendley
Feb 23, 1962 — Jul 20, 2017
St. Petersburg
Michael Wayne Hendley was born to Frank and Joan Hendley on February 23 rd 1962 in St. Petersburg, FL. He has two sisters, Jene and Sharron; and two brothers, Beau and Keith. At a young age Michael started working at his mother's nursery shop but felt a strong leading from the Lord to attend bible college. He graduated with a bachelors degree in theology from Trinity Bible College. Shortly after, he fell in love with a young woman named Lily, In which they had two children, Derek and Christopher. As Michael grew in the Lord, he effortlessly transitioned his early horticultural skills into landscaping, and then full force into arborist, with his own tree service. For the next twenty years the St.Petersburg area from Tierra Verde to Clearwater became his stomping ground. He made many friends and a vast repeat customer base. During his time he picked up a peculiar hobby, weightlifting, in which he also once competed in amateur competition, lifting over 500 lbs! As time went on, Michael went through some difficult transitions, recovering from an on the job accident and a second marriage that did not work out. But Michael kept his eyes on the Lord and eventually emerged victorious. He wrote many biblical theology papers, one of which he was most passionate of was "The Apostle Luke", a paper in which he intended to breakdown walls of racism with. As he grew older, his tree service slowed down a little by which he responded with speeding up his relationships with his sons and family members, having once said, "He had more fun than he ever had." Michael W. Hendley has influenced so many in his years, and touched so many lives with his unshakable faith, his sincerity, and his precious smile. He is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
He was my rock in Christ, Till I see you again Dad
