Benton, Michael Austin, 76. Mike passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2016, at his home in Seminole, surrounded by his family. Mike was born and grew up in Middlesbrough, England where he enjoyed playing football and cricket with his brother Geoff. He was an exceptional cricketer, still holding league records to this day. He moved to Seminole in 1969 and has been a permanent part of the community ever since. He was a devoted father and loving grandfather. Mike was loved by his friends and family and was always quick with his infectious smile and friendly conversation over a pint of beer. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Mike is survived by his brother Geoff Bustard of Middlesbrough England, daughters Carol Benton and Suzi Hervey (David Hervey), and grandchildren Benton and Emma Hervey. Donations may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service in Mike's honor at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, October 13 at the Mohn Funeral home.
