Mary Ann Monaghan (82), of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Lima, Ohio to John and Austie Day in 1938 and moved to St. Petersburg with her husband, John, and six children in 1970. She and John managed their business, Monaghan's Shell and Car Care for over 45 years. She was a lifelong Catholic and was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in St. Pete Beach.

Mary Ann loved animals, was an avid reader and was a friend to everyone she met. She was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to help those around her. Her family will miss her dearly and will cherish her legacy always.

Mary Ann is survived by her children John, Cathi, Wendy, Terry, Tom and Mike, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, John Monaghan.

There will be a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at St John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82 nd Ave., St. Pete Beach, followed by interment at Bay Pines VA Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
