Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Schyns, who departed this life on June 25, 2026, at the age of 58.

Mark was a devoted husband, loving father, loyal friend, and a man whose kindness, integrity, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. He believed in the importance of family, hard work, and lending a helping hand whenever someone was in need. His steady presence and generous heart will be deeply missed.

A passionate fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and a proud season ticket holder since 1998, Mark rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on his beloved Bucs. Sundays during football season were a special time for Mark, and the friendships and memories he made through nearly three decades of supporting the team became an important part of his life.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Kellie Schyns; his daughter, Brittany (Ryan) Leneweaver ; and his son, Justin Schyns. He also leaves behind his brother Roger (Karen) Schyns and sister Yvonne (Joel) Harris and many extended family members, nieces, nephews, dear friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Schyns, and his father, Hubert Schyns.

A Celebration of Life honoring Mark will be held in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, on August 1, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and remember the joy he brought to so many. To honor Mark's memory, the family kindly requests that in place of floral tributes, memorial contributions be directed to the Unincorporated Seminole Sports Association (USSA).

Donations in memory of Mark Schyns may be mailed to USSA at 13801 Walsingham Road A-449, Largo, FL 33774.

Mark's legacy of love, compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
