Mario
Giordano
Sep 24, 1936 — Sep 4, 2025
Seminole
Mario Giordano, 88, of Seminole, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. Born on September 24, 1936, in Valley Stream, New York, Mario lived a life defined by devotion, humility, and selflessness.
A proud U.S. Marine Corps Corporal, Mario carried the values of service and discipline throughout his life. He worked tirelessly—holding both a full-time banking job and a part-time position—to support his family. When he and his wife adopted their three children, he didn't hesitate to give up his second job to spend more time with them. Family always came first.
Mario was a natural caretaker, known for his quiet generosity and unwavering support for anyone in need. He never splurged on himself, always choosing to give to others. His deep Catholic faith guided his life; he never missed Mass and served as a Eucharistic Minister alongside his wife Alice at their churches throughout their lives. Together, they also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, delivering food and kindness to those in need. He loved walking through his neighborhood, where he was a familiar and friendly face to all. His kindness and humility left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Mario was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice (2012); his sisters Vita Dean and Rose Rinaldi; and his brother Pete. He is survived by his loving wife Judy; his children Robert Giordano (wife Lyn), Valerie Villardi (husband Mike, daughter Nicole, and son Michael), Joseph Giordano (daughters Angelina and Stephanie), and Gina Giordano (daughter-in-law); his sister Jeanne Nuzzo (husband Ben); sister-in-law Kathy; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at Bushnell National Cemetery on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Friends may offer condolences at Mohn Funeral Home in Seminole, FL, from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM the same day.
