M. Lenore Thistle 98, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. She was born in Borden County, TX and moved to this area in December of 2020 from E. Haven and Guilford, CT. Lenore was a RN and served in the Army Nurse Corp in WWII. She was a longtime member of Northford Congregational Church, and contributed many hours of volunteer nursing service to local schools and the American Red Cross.

Lenore was preceded in death in death by her husband, Harold, and her daughter-in-law Myra.

Lenore is survived by her sister-in-law Dorothy Whittaker and Jayne (John) Marsden; her children Doug, Cathy (Jim), Harold (Gay) and Greg; Grandchildren, Jim, Charles, Liz, Ava, Andy and Brian; Great-Grandchildren, Kate, Maddie, Ben, and Avery;

Donations may be made in her memory to the Northford Congregational Church, or the charity of your choice.

Services will be held later in Northford, CT.
