LUIS ENRIQUE FERNANDEZ, 95 of Indian Shores, Florida passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at his home with his family.  Luis leaves his loving wife Dora of 66 years, sister Alice, son Edward, daughter-in-law Peggy, and his grandchildren Casey and Kerry, along with three great-children.  He also leaves his daughter, Jeannette (Flint), son-in-law Nelson, and three grandchildren, Christopher, Jacob, and Zachary along with a host of nieces and nephews, as well as all the fine men he mentored over the years that called him dad.

Luis was born in Ybor City in Tampa, Florida on August 25, 1925.  He was a devoted family man, friend, and fisherman.  On September 14, 2019, Luis received the Key to the Town of Indian Shores as the oldest living resident of Indian Shores having resided there for more than 50 years.  Luis was former owner of Desoto Battery Company in Tampa and a long-time Mason and member of PTF United Lodge No. 153 F&AM, having recently received the distinguished 65-Year Service Certificate, Pin, and Award.

A private gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date.
