Obituary

Leo Dalton, aged 79, died peacefully in his home on August 29, 2024.  He was born in Philadelphia and moved to Florida in 1971 to start his internship at Suncoast Hospital in Largo.  He fell in love with the area and decided to make this his home.  He was a physician specializing in Family Medicine and soon built his own office on Bay Pines Blvd., where he practiced until his retirement.
He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Belleair Country Club for many years.  He and his golfing buddies traveled around the U.S., Ireland and Scotland to play golf.  He became interested in fine wine and collected a wide assortment of various wines.  He enjoyed traveling and visited many countries including Mexico, England, Italy, France, Greece, and Canada.  He enjoyed watching sports and was a season ticket holder for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since the inception of the team.  But his main love has always been practicing medicine.  He looked forward to going to work every day.  Early in his career he even made house calls.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Edie Dalton, his son Christian Dalton, and his daughters Colleen Dalton and Jessica Behr.  In addition he has three grandsons, Leo L. Dalton, Nico Dalton, and Dalton Howes.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Dalton.
Funeral services will be held at Mohn Funeral Home, 9700 Seminole Blvd., Seminole FL on Tuesday, September 3.  Viewing will begin at 5:30 PM and religious service will follow at 6:00 PM.
