Katherine L. Siegler's Obituary
Katherine Siegler, 63, passed away on July 8, 2022 at her home in Seminole, FL.
Kathy was a professor at St.Petersburg College and held a BS/MS in Microbiology from St. John's University in New York City, NY and a PhD in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. Teaching was her passion. She also worked as a research scientist at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. Her research focused on the role of inflammation in the development of bladder and prostate cancer.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, John and Lucille Meyer and her brother John Meyer.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Siegler, three sons, Gerard Siegler, Andrew Siegler, and William Siegler, sisters, Joann Harrison, Patricia Freshley, and Maureen (Kelly) Adams, brother-in-laws, Ian Harrison, Dan Freshley, and Arthur Adams, daughter-in-law, Audrey Siegler, four grandchildren, Maddon Siegler, Gabriella Siegler, Eleanor Siegler, and Sophia Siegler, and many extended family members and dear friends.
Kathy was an avid gardener and nature lover. Please consider planting a tree, plant or flower in her honor.
