Karen Shanor Saltz passed away at the age of 84, in Tierra Verde, Fl. Karen was born April 22, 1939 in Sewickly Pa. and came to this area from Coral Gables, FL in 1959. Karen was married to Robert Saltz for 64 years this past June. She is preceded in death by her loving parents William and Mary Jane Shanor. She leaves behind her brothers William Jr. and Charles Shanor along with her three devoted children

Kimberlee Kinsler (Scott), their children Megan Sotirakopulos (Nick), Brad Kinsler and their grandchildren Tinley, Talia and Talyn.

Deborah Halpin (Jeff Johnson), their children Emily Halpin, Brooke Southers, Jordan Johnson (Briana), Cameron Johnson (Cheyenne), Preston Johnson (McKenna) and their grandchildren Kennedy, Jackson, Charlotte, Remi and Blakelynn.

Robert Saltz Jr. (Helen DeSimone) and their daughter Teagan.

Karen was a Marriage and Family Therapist at Lakewood United Methodist Church for many years. At Florida State University she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and the Tarpon swim team. She later attended University of South Florida, and then went on to receive her Masters from Nova University. She was in choirs for 60 years and she was in the church quartet named "John's Angels", was a Jr League member and Lay Witness team member, serving with her husband. She enjoyed singing, tennis, reading and time with her family.

Services will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church , 5995 MLK Street St. Petersburg, FL on Saturday Oct. 7, 2023 at 2:00pm with reception to follow.
