Karen B. Ford, age 79, passed away July 29, 2020.  She was born July 13th, 1941 and moved to this area in 2002 from Kansas City, Kansas.  Karen was the Public Relations Director for the Board of Public utilities in Kansas City, Kansas and also served as the Chairman of the board for the United Way of Wyandotte County, Kansas.  Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, loved being a grandmother and a great grandmother.  She enjoyed walks on the beach, attending Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays and Clearwater Threshers baseball games with her husband Bill, friends, and family.  She was an avid fan of Kansas University Jayhawk basketball.

Karen has enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the waters and all that Florida life brought to her retirement years.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Dr. George B. Lewis, and Mother, Lois Lewis, her brother George B. Lewis II and her first husband, R. Scott Brooks.

Karen is survived by her husband, Bill Ford, her twin sister Sharon Downing, her two Sons Jeff(Anne-Marie) and Tim Brooks.  Her two grandsons, Ryan(Katie) and Colby Brooks, her granddaughter Savannah, and great grandson Bennett Brooks along with many other relatives including nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and many friends that she cherished.
