John "Wayne" Wegman, 72, passed away October 14, 2017.  He was born in St. Petersburg, FL on December 15, 1944.  Wayne made a career working in the telecommunications business where he worked 30 years for GTE after serving two years in the United States Navy.  After retiring from GTE, he went to work as a Telecommunication Applications Engineer/Consultant for Thomas & Betts where he was afforded the opportunity to travel the world.  Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and loved anything to do with the saltwater, specifically boating, scuba diving, spearfishing and fishing, and camping with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents Louis E. Wegman and Mary E. Lavinghouse Wegman and brother Phillip D. Wegman.  Wayne is survived by the love of his life, Deborah S. Wegman, brother David L. Wegman, sons Joshua Adams and wife Trisha Adams, Zachary Adams and wife Katie Adams, grandchildren Olivia (9), Clayton (8), Kenley (6) and Aleena (5).  In lieu of donations, the family requests that donations are made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org .
