John W. Groomes Jr., age 73, passed away 07/25/2020.  He was born in Flint, Michigan and moved to this area in 1989 from Grand Rapids, Michigan.  He was a Graphic Artist and also served in the U.S. Navy.  He was a Christian and belonged to the Abundant Life Ministries.  He enjoyed drawing, painting (art), reading and studying as well as plants and flowers.

He was preceded in death by Marsha Groomes (Wife), John W. Groomes Sr. (Father), and Margaret M. Riker (Mother)

He is survived by Donna Groomes (Step-mom), children- (Jay) John W. Groomes III, Darby, Terry, Nicki, and Jill.  Siblings - Clay, Jeff, Anita, Michele, Russ and loving grandchildren.

Other survivors are his church family, neighborhood friends both 2 legged and 4 legged.
