Joan Fleenor Sharpe, of Bellaire Bluffs, age 79, passed away June 12, 2025.  She was born in Downers Grove, Illinois. (Born March 9, 1946)

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Guy Clifford Fleenor and Viola Adelaide Engstrom (Fleenor) and husband Michael Edward Sharpe of 36 years.

Joan was survived by her stepdaughters Peggy Wisniewsky (Randall Wisniewsky) and Patty Procko (Bill Procko). Grandchildren Michael Ryan Sharpe, Dominic Procko, Zachary Procko, Arianna Procko, Rebekah Parrott, Jacob Wisniewsky, Rachel Wisniewsky.
She is also survived by her Sister in Law, Valery McAllister, and nieces and nephews.

Joan graduated from Downers Grove High School and was a competitive swimmer and lifeguard. She attended Iowa State for several years before moving to Seminole, Florida in 1969 to take care of her father. She studied Interior Design. She was in the GAA singing group.
Professionally, she was a secretary in the Banking industry for many years. She retired as an executive secretary for Travel Agents International.
For leisure, she was an avid reader and created many beautiful needle point items for her family and friends. She and her husband Mike were Hi-Lo Camper Enthusiasts and traveled the United States for many years with friends.

Joan was loved by many and will be remembered as having a great sense of humor and quick wit.

A Memorial Service will be held June 28th, 2025 at 11:00AM at Mohn Funeral Home 9700 Seminole Blvd, Seminole, FL 33772.

Joan will be laid to rest with her husband, Michael, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Florida.
