Jacqueline "Jackie" Lenore Powers, died peacefully in Largo, Florida on November 26, 2018 at the age of 91, after years of coping with Alzheimer's disease. She was born on June 2, 1927 in Waterford Township, Michigan, to the late Norris and Jessie Smith and was the oldest of ten siblings (Norris, Carol, David, James, and Dorothy born to Jessie and then Robert, Richard, Beverly, and Peggy born to Mabel). For many years she worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Company and had one son, Richard Robinson (who died this year of cancer).  She married John Powers in the early 70s and he was the love of her life. They lived in Florida and enjoyed traveling, dancing, and golfing.  Jackie also loved attending the First Presbyterian Church of Dunedin for decades before she moved into an Assisted Living facility in Largo.

Survivors include three siblings, Dorothy Kent, Richard Smith, and Beverly Malenfant; her granddaughter, Jamie Robinson, a great grandson, Phoenix Jai, her step son, Dan Powers (Carol), step grandsons Jay and Brian Powers, and lots of nieces and nephews.

Jackie is buried alongside her beloved, John, at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, MI.
