Helen Spacek was born  July 21, 1926 in Des Moines, IA and lived in
Ottumwa, IA until she graduated high school. After school she left the
area and lived in Tucson AZ., Washington DC and New York City where she
met her husband Jim Spacek.

After getting married they moved to Hartford, CT.   She and her husband
eventually settled in Cheshire, CT  where they raised their two
children, Sharon and James Jr.  Helen and Jim had their own import and
export company in Cheshire for over 40 years.  After her husband's death
in 1990, Helen moved to Scottsdale AZ  where she enjoyed the weather and
the desert landscapes which she loved to paint.   In 2017, she moved to
Seminole, FL to be near to her son James.

Helen painted in oils, acrylics and water colors for over 40 years. She
traveled throughout Europe with her husband Jim taking photographs for
future paintings. She was a member of the Scottsdale Art School with
whom she liked to travel locally to paint.

She has three grandsons whom she adored and seven great-grand children.
She will be forever missed by her family, friends, and painting and
traveling companions .

She will be buried in Cheshire CT, next to her husband Jim.
