Laforge, Gladys Ivel, 91 of Largo, Florida died Friday, Oct 14, 2016. Gladys moved here with husband, Jeremiah in 1947 from Brooklyn, NY where they resided in just 3 homes in St. Petersburg since that time.
She was a Housekeeper, floral Designer and actually ran a small business, B & G's Clothsline, a consignment shop.
She was a Lutheran and was very involved with Garden of Peace Lutheran Church where she organized trips, hosted youth groups and became Pastor Albers very close friend and confidant.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Jeremiah Horatio Laforge who went to the Lord in 2000 after complications from parkinsons disease.
Gladys is survived by her son, Gregory, sister Ruth, Nieces Donna and Debbie and nephews, Mark and Paul. Friends, Nadine and Edith
She will be placed to rest next to her husband Jerry at Bay Pines Memorial Park on November 10.
