Geraldine "Gerry" Mae Whitteck passed away June 15, 2016. Gerry was born August 30, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles "Chuck" Whitteck and several siblings.

Gerry is survived by two daughters Margaret Whitteck of Delaware and Jeanette Dorton of Missouri, and a son, Charles "Butch" Whitteck of Missouri. Also survived by six siblings, Bill Freas of California, Jack Freas of Pennsylvania, Jim Freas of New York, Peg Thomas of Florida, Eileen Hooper of Pennsylvania, Jean Freas of New Jersey, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Gerry worked in the banking industry her entire life until she retired in 2001. Gerry moved to Florida in 2003. She is a member of the First Christian Church of Seminole. She was very active in the Seminole Gardens community, including calling numbers for Friday night bingo. She was straight forward, never minced words and you always knew what she thought, as well as having a heart of gold, helping anyone that she could. Gerry was very involved in helping many of the residents and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial at the Community Center of Seminole Gardens will be held between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
