George McWilliams Jr. lived a full life enriched in experiences of music, military service, grocery business, travels, and building a legacy for his kids and grandsons to fulfill. He was born in Baltimore City, Maryland on October 6 ^th ,1945 and resided in Seminole, Florida. He passed away on December 14 ^th , 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Melanie McWilliams. He is survived by his son Brendan McWilliams and his daughter Marissa Claus along with his 3 grandsons, Declan McWilliams, and Chad and Derek Claus.

George enlisted in the Naval Reserve as an Ordinance Mechanic in September 1965. He was called to active duty in June 1967 serving aboard a ship in the waters of Vietnam. He remained in the Naval Reserve until 1970, then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Gunners Mate where he served until January 25 ^th , 1976. George worked in the grocery business for over 30 years as well as being a musician. He played piano and accompanied bands, community choruses and played in gigs in various restaurants and retirement communities. George is well known for his musical talents and witty humor. He enjoyed musical theater, traveling, food ventures, and spending time with his family and grandsons. With his experience in grocery, his request was to be called "Banana" rather than grandpa which made him feel aged. He has now joined his wife, and Nana and Banana now watch over their kids and rambunctious grandsons.

He was recently the church pianist for Emmanuel Community Church American Baptist. His service will be held at Emmanuel Community Church American Baptist in Palm Harbor, Florida on Sunday January 16 ^th , 2022 from 1:00-3:00 pm.
