Gale Faye Ambrosio, age 83, passed away on October 4th, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 23, 1941. She relocated from Pittsburgh, PA to Largo, Florida, along with her husband of over 60 years, Joseph Ambrosio, Sr., and she has been a Largo area resident for
decades. Gale worked exceptionally hard throughout her life, whether supporting her husband in operating the customer counter at his shoe repair shops or serving her customers with care at the various restaurants she worked for. Often she held two or three jobs simultaneously to help
support her family. She always enjoyed and loved her pets, including many cats and dogs and birds over the years. In retirement, she enjoyed researching her family tree and competing online with people from around the world playing matches of the word-game 'Words with Friends.'
Gale was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Louise Geisler McCance and father, Ralph Morton McCance; by all three of her brothers, Bruce, Bill and Kenneth McCance; as well as by one of her three sons, Jonathan Keith McCance. She is survived by her remaining two sons,
Anthony Giuseppe Ambrosio and Joseph Ambrosio, Jr.
Gale was blessed not only with many grandchildren, but also numerous great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She will be missed and remembered.
At a private ceremony, her surviving sons will reunite Gale's cremated remains with her beloved husband, Joe, where he lies in repose, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
