Francisco (Frank)
Marin
Jan 25, 1948 — Nov 5, 2025
Francisco (Frank) Marin passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, November 5, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will forever fill the hearts of his family and friends.
Born and raised in El Paso, TX, Frank was the fifth of seven children to Jose and Maria Dolores Marin. Already the proud father of three sons - Andres, Roberto and Frank Jr. - Frank joined the U.S. Army in '69, where he served for 9 years and met his wife of 48 years, Kathleen, while stationed in Germany.
Once back in the states, Frank and Kathy moved to El Paso and welcomed their daughter, Jennifer. They moved to Seminole, FL in 1980, where Frank became an electrician at the Pinellas County jail. His dedication, skill, and strong work ethic eventually led to his retirement in 2011 as Director of Facilities after 25 years.
Beyond his work, Frank's true passion was life itself. Always ready for the next adventure, he loved spending time with his family and friends. With a mic in one hand and a beer in the other, he loved singing karaoke, discovering new places, going on cruises and golfing with his best friend and wife Kathy, to whom he was a devoted husband and partner, in love and laughter. His sense of humor was legendary, even in his final days. He was funny, quick witted and will go down in history for taking twenty minutes to tell a joke - and it was always worth it by the end. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel at home wherever he was.
Frank had so much love to give. He will always be remembered for his laughter, his music, his adventurous spirit, and his unconditional love for his wife, daughter, sons, sisters, brothers, and grandchildren who filled his heart and brought him so much joy. His voice, his humor, and his heart will echo throughout generations, reminding everyone that life is best lived with laughter, love, and a song to sing.
Frank is survived by his wife Kathleen Marin of Largo, FL. Children: Jennifer Marin of Largo, FL, Andres Marin and wife Margaret of Ft. Worth, TX, and Frank Jr. Marin of Anthony, NM. Sisters Alma Peregrino of El Paso, TX, Teresa Marin of El Paso, TX and Maugue Marin of Los Angeles, CA.
