Frances (Fran) R Weir,  age 82  passed away  6/21/2025.  She was born in Charleston, South Carolina on 12/2/1942  the oldest of 6 children.  She moved to the Tampa Bay area with her family in 1980 from  Hyde Park, New York.   Fran liked to say she was a domestic goddess and her talents were many.  She was a great cook who loved to entertain,  an accomplished seamstress who had a small business  making bedding, draperies and she upholstered furniture and boats.  She was a beloved wife for 52 years, mother, nana, grand  nana and loyal friend,  who loved to throw parties, cookie swaps, and share her famous sour cream banana muffins even with the neighborhood kids.    She also enjoyed being a member of the Shore Acres Ladies Bunco Group for 40+ years.  Fran was preceded in death by her parents  George and  Iris Newman, husband  Donald Weir and sister Charlotte Klau.   She is survived by her dog Mollie, 3 children and their spouses  Donna Sulek and Ron Curtin of Overland Park Ks, John and Jennifer Weir of Seminole FL,  April and Tracy  Paulton of Clearwater Fl.  3 Brothers and their wives Michael and Mary Newman of Rio Rancho, NM, Paul Newman and  Bonnie McCaslin of Hayesville NC, Steven and Linda Newman of Citrus  Springs, Fl and sister Rosanne Bianco of Albuquerque, NM.   She is also survived by her 3 grandsons Ryan Sulek, Joshua Paulton and Kaleb Paulton iof FL, 2 granddaughters Megan and her husband Matthew Lemon of Mission Ks and Kelsie Paulton, 2 great grandchildren Owen and Ella Lemon, many granddogs and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th from 2-5pm at April Paulton's home at 1625 Jeffords Street
