Emily S. Black, 101, passed into eternal rest on February 17, 2021 in Largo, Fl. Born in Newark, N.J. on Oct. 30, 1919 to Emily and John Sedlack. Emily grew up in Connecticut and moved to NYC where she met her husband Richard. Upon retirement, they moved to Largo, Florida in 1982 as snowbirds and made Largo their permanent home in 1986.

Emily was a lifelong member of the Bryn Mawr Park Presbyterian Church in Yonkers, NY.  Here in Florida, Emily was President of the Ornge Lake Garden Club for many years, and an active member and secretary of other various garden clubs in Pinellas County. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed many trips tp Biloxi. Emily was a fabulous cook and baker and enjoyed entertaining for all their friends. She spent the month of December making Christmas cookies for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ricky, her sister Bessie, her brother John, affectionately known as Eddie, her granddaughter Kathy Poulos.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara (Bill),  Amy (Mark), Susan (Ray), five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
