Elizabeth Karol (Rozum) Holder, daughter of the late Regina Rozum and the late Dr. John K. Rozum, born in Cumberland, Maryland, passed away at age 79 on April 15, 2018 surrounded by her beloved family and friends in Seminole, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer. Karol earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and graduated high school from St. Theresa Catholic School in CoralGables, FL. Karol was the loving wife of the late Frank Holder. She was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Rozum Gillmor. Karol is survived by her son, John Holder and partner Paula Fowler Howard; daughter, Stephanie Holder Wilson and husband Matthew Wilson; sister, Joan Rozum Smith and husband Allen Smith; grandchildren, Ben Wilson, Jesse Holder, and Justin Holder; nieces, Stacey Gillmor Johnson, Regina Smith, and Jennifer Gillmor Shelton; nephews, Chris Gillmor, JohnGillmor, Marc Gillmor, and Allen Smith, Jr.; and dear friends, Christine Booze, Sherryl Pohl, and Donald Pohl.
Karol was in Delta Gamma Sorority at theUniversity of Florida. She loved reading and was a volunteer at Seminole Community Library. The family extends special thanks to Aspire Home Care andSuncoast Hospice. Memorial services are being planned for June and will be announced at a later date. Friends and family members are welcome to the memorial service.
