Edward Michael
Mcguire
Feb 7, 1959 — Oct 15, 2023
Largo
Edward M. McGuire, 64, died 10-15-23. He was born in Philadelphia, PA and came to this area in 2016 from Villas, NJ.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he also lived in Wildwood and Villas, New Jersey, and for the past
several years, in Largo, FL. He was retired but kept busy, helping our mother Katherine, who lived very
close to his home. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. Those who knew him would
say what a wonderful person he was. He had a great sense of humor and incredible wit. I was always
amazed at his knowledge on a multitude of subjects.
Ed was a Past Master of Cape Island Masonic Lodge in Cape May, New Jersey, and Past Exalted Ruler of
Greater Cape May Elks Lodge in Villas, New Jersey. He was a great cook, loved good music, and an
appreciation for Philly sports teams. His one true passion in life was fishing, and although he didn't fish
as much as he would've liked in his later years, he always talked about taking a road trip to the Florida Keys.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward McGuire.
Edward is survived by his wife, Debra (separated); step daughter, Beth Kovacs; mother Katherine McGuire; brother, Michael McGuire; niece, Kelly McGuire; grand nephew, Noah Reyes; and many friends and family in Philadelphia, New jersey and Florida.
