Dawn Gentry, age 58 passed away February 16, 2026. She was born in Rockville Center, NY and moved to this area in 1979, from Lynbrook, NY. She was a teacher at Seminole High School. Her hobbies include camping, fishing, gardening and hiking. She loved the beach and the mountains.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Judith Hunt, and her nephew Danny Higdon.

She is survived by her husband Stephen Gentry, stepsons Dewayne Gentry and James Chad Gentry, sisters Beth Phillips and Jackie Higdon, brothers-in-law Tom Phillips and John Higdon and nephew Jacob Phillips.

Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
