Daniel T. McLaughlin, age 73 passed away Friday November 3, 2023.  He was born in the Bronx, NY. and moved to this area in 1994.  Daniel was an Occupational Therapist in NY. and FL. and Voc Rehab Specialist at the VA in FL. at Bay Pines where he retired.  Daniel served in the US Army.

He was a sober member of the San Martin Group of AA with 43 years of sobriety.  He lived a life of service, had many sponsees, grand sponsees, and grand grand sponsees in the program.  His motto was "who's in charge".  He was also a motorcycle and car enthusiast, as well an avid fisherman and camper.

Daniel was preceded in death by his brother Bernard McLaughlin in Dec. 2022 and Jimmy McLaughlin, as well as his mother and father.

He is survived by his wife Sheryl Arehart McLaughlin, Sister Patricia Vaughn, Niece Kate Armstrong (Ryan), Nephew TJ Vaughn, as well as Niece Danielle McLaughlin.

Donations may be made in his memory to any charity and service work that you would prefer.

A Graveside service will be held at Bay Pines National Cemetery which is TBD.

San Martin Group will host a celebration of life on November 25th, 2023 at 5:00PM in the back pavilion.
