It is with deep sorrow that the Kinsey family announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dale Kinsey, who departed this life peacefully the morning of November 18, 2025.

Dale was born in Queens New York on September 9, 1939 and moved to Florida shortly after her marriage to Harold "Doc" Kinsey. They were married for 68 years this past June.

A lifelong educator with Pinellas County schools, she dedicated her heart and soul to teaching, inspiring generations of students with her wisdom, patience, and unwavering belief in the power of learning. Her classroom was more than a place of instruction, it was a haven of encouragement, curiosity, and care. Her final years teaching was dedicated to the Early Literacy Initiative where she trained many new teachers to teach reading to elementary-aged children.  Dale faced the challenges of dementia with quiet strength. Though this terrible disease stole her memories and her life, it never dimmed her spirit and her feistiness. She remained, to the end, a lady who touched everyone she met.  Dale and Doc had amazing experiences together and traveled the world, and she was always there to support him in all his endeavors from fire department – to Kiwanis to just all things Seminole. She may have given him a fit at times, but she was always there for all her family and the community.

To her kids, her grandchildren and great grandchildren she was everything. A constant support system. Always there for whatever they needed from babysitter to horse groomer to tutor to great grandma that loved those babies more than anything. Even when dementia stole everything from her, her face would still light up when her great grandchildren would walk into the room.

Dale is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Dale Krewson and is survived by her husband Harold "Doc" Kinsey, her children Donna Blackburn, Ron Kinsey (Holly), Tricia Gorham (Bill), her grandchildren Dustin Kinsey, Travis Kinsey (Ashley), Devon Blackburn, Alysha Blackburn, Dalton Gorham and Jordan Kennan (Trevor) and her great grandchildren Siana Lopez, Tanner Kinsey, Kailani Kinsey and Cole Kinsey.

A celebration of her life will be held on December 11th 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Mohn Funeral Home in Seminole.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Pinellas Educational Foundation. Please indicate Pinellas Early Literacy Initiative, a cause close to her heart.
