Candace Lynne "Candy" Frey, 61, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away October 8, 2018.  She was a native of St. Petersburg.  Before retirement, she was a Registered Respiratory Therapist and was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp.  She was an Episcopalian and belonged to the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Sarasota, FL. Candy was a member of the Adaptive Golf Association and loved travelling in her motor home, golfing, kayaking, and driving fast cars & motorcycles.
She was preceded in death by her father, Prentice V. "Bud" Wheeler II.
Candy is survived by her husband, Richard C. Frey, and daughter, Kristin E. Frey, both of St. Petersburg, FL.  She is also survived by 3 siblings, her mother, and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her terribly.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Adaptive Golf Association, National Kidney Foundation, and the Wounded Warriors Project.
Viewing will take place Oct. 17th from 1-3pm at Mohn Funeral Home in Seminole, FL.
A Memorial service will take place Oct. 18th at 9:30am at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Sarasota, FL. She will be laid to rest at the Sarasota National Cemetery immediately following the service at 11am.
