Betty Jane Landers, 94, of Seminole, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2022. She was just 16 days shy of her 95th birthday, Betty was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Jefferson High School where she was a cheerleader. After graduation, she worked as a secretary in the school office.

In 1947 she married the love of her life, Gene Landers. Gene and Betty owned Trico Electric Supplies in Largo for 32 years. Betty resided in Seminole for over 60 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard and their Prayer Shawl Ministry.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene; brother, Georgr; and her sister Patsy.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Kathy Austin (Bob) of Seminole, and Debbie Hice (Rick) of Seminole; grandchildren Kirk Austin (Erica) of Seminole, Amber Austin of Seminole, Amie Hice Morrison (Rob) of Jacksonville, and Matt Hice of Jacksonville; great grandchildren Ava and Charlotte Austin, and Ryan Morrison; two brothers Conrad Lackmann (Pat) of Valrico, and Michael Lackman of Senoia, GA; and a sister Linda Morgan of Pensacola; and many nieces and nephews.
