Barbara B. Latham, 83, of Seminole, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2019, with her daughters by her side. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia to Bill and Sara Bulloch. When she met Bill Latham, it was love at first sight for them both. They resided in Seminole for most of their 64 years of marriage.

Barbara is predeceased by husband, Bill, and survived by daughters Gina Van Leuven (Curtis) and Mary Farquhar (Lou), granddaughter Jordan Van Leuven, sister Gail Briley, and sister-in- law Donna Ottersen of Michigan City, Indiana.

Barbara began her career teaching at Maximo Elementary. She moved to Bauder Elementary where she was a teacher, reading specialist, and then assistant principal. From there she went to Anona Elementary where she served as principal until her retirement in 1999. She embraced retirement! Because she was not allowed in Bill's kitchen, it freed up her time to be active in her church, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, creating the prayer shawl ministry, working in the thrift store, and serving on the finance committee. At Woodbridge Condominiums, Barbara started a Red Hat club, organized card games and a walking group. She enjoyed stamping and making cards, crocheting, and was an avid reader. Barbara especially loved spending time with her granddaughter, Jordan. And she rarely went anywhere without her dog, Zoe, and then with Maggie.

Barbara will be interred at the Bay Pines VA Cemetery. Specifics will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 10891 102nd Ave N, Seminole FL 33778.
