Ann Kurhayez, age 101, passed away in her sleep on Sunday August 14, 2016 with her son by her side.

Ann was born in Chicago and moved to this area in 1984 from Berwyn, Illinois. She had a fun and caring spirit, liked people, and was the matriarch of our family. In 1942 when her son Frank Jr. was born, her husband Frank Sr. was drafted. Ann worked hard all her life from working in a factory at Sunbeam to being a supervisor in the proof checking department at a major bank in Chicago; the Exchange National Bank. She was also a member of Czech & Slovak Heritage Society in St. Petersburg where she celebrated her Slovak heritage, as well as a Lutheran and belonged to the Good Shepard Church.

She was preceded in death by husband Frank Sr. and sister Betty. She is survived by son, Frank Jr.; grandson, Jeffrey, his wife Laura and their twins Arden and Courtney; granddaughter Jillian, her husband James and their children Jake and Abby.
