"I Love You More"
With broken hearts, we sadly announce the sudden devastating loss of our brave, kind, super smart, and beautiful loving boy. Surrounded by his parents and siblings, Aidan Morgan Mundell left us tragically at the tender age of just 16 years old on the night of July 13, 2023. Aidan was born on January 11, 2007 to Theresa DuVal-Mundell and David Mundell, Jr. in Clearwater, Florida, living his short life with his parents and siblings in Largo, Florida.
Aidan enjoyed working on his very first car with his daddy and admired his mechanical skill so much. He was amazed by his dad and David Plowman, over how hard they both work for our family, and he liked hearing about their work day. He expressed how lucky he was to have the influence of them to learn from. And boy, did he fuss over his mama! He really loved just cuddling and talking to her about soooo many things, often all through the night. Aidan always enjoyed running! He also loved computers, boxing, and creative video games. He loved psychology and had a very diversified love of music. Aidan was a very "deep" and private person with a great big brain that couldn't help but ponder things like philosophy, God, and the human condition, ever seeking answers to all things he wondered about.
Aidan had just, VERY recently, made so many wonderful and exciting accomplishments, hitting some pretty big milestones that he wanted to! Here are some just in the last month and a half of his life:
May 31, 2023-Aidan received his GED graduating 2 years early!
June 22, 2023-He earned his Learner's Driver's Lisence!
June 23, 2023-He earned yet another certificate for computer coding and Lua, a programming language beginner's course!
July 11, 2023-He had his first ever job interview which he nailed and was offered a position.
July 12, 2023-He had his second ever job interview and was offered that job, too!
He had dreamed of becoming a plumber in the future just like "Plumber Dave!"
Aidan loved so many people in his life, including his mom and dad, his sister, and all 5 of his brothers. He loved and admired all his siblings for their distinct and unique strengths and endeavored to learn from them and be just like them in those special ways. He loved his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially his Uncle Cody. He thought Cody was special and "similar to me", and he liked that. Others that impacted his life were his wonderful CAT Team. They treated him with kindness and respect, and in turn he respected them individually for who they are and what they brought to his table. He also enjoyed and thought much of all the coaches and athletes that took the time to train and guide him at the gym, treating him as an equal individual with his very own strengths and weaknesses when they encouraged him. Aidan sure loved all his friends, too. There are so many of you that grew up knowing and loving him, appreciating him for who he really was. That meant so much to him, and it still means so much to his family. Thank you for that.
Aidan will always be remembered by his loving Mommy and Daddy, Theresa DuVal-Mundell and David Mundell, Jr; his big sister, Stephanie Mundell-Jackson; his big brothers, David Mundell, III, Timothy Tullis, and Logan Mundell; his little brothers, Jayden and Brent King; his grandparents and uncle, Sue, Michael, and Cody; his grandparents, Irene and David, Sr; his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving, supportive friends that were important to him.
Aidan, we are devastated, and we will feel your absence every single day. You'll always be that sweet, loving, brilliant, funny soul who is missed so much. You are our absolute JOY, amazing in every way, every day until the end. We will never forget you, and we will love you always and forever.
Aidan, you will continue to stand in our hearts as a reminder of LOVE, strength, perseverance, kindness, and HOPE!! You, precious child, ARE the very importance of strong, loving family ties, the beautiful bonds of friendship, and the unconditional love of God. Your memory will be forever cherished until we meet again...
